Welcome is what we desire everyone to feel who comes to Idlewild Baptist Church. In (Mark 11:17) Jesus said "Is it not written: 'My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations?'" We want to welcome people to come and encounter a loving God who desires to have a relationship with them. Here in a loving environment a person can come and find out about how the Bible can be relevant to them and their life. Our worship is a vital time in the life of our church as we joyfully praise the Lord and seek to hear Him speak.

We want to welcome people to come be apart of the Idlewild family. In our family we seek to help our people grow in their knowledge of the Bible and how it applies to their lives. This growth process leads the individual and church family to know the purposes and plans that God has for us. As people come to know God's purposes and plans for their life then they are welcomed to become involved in doing ministry. Our ministries are done in our church, our community and around the world as we seek to be great commission Christians.

I would like to give you a word of testimony about the greatest welcome that I ever received. It was when I was welcomed into the family of God. The Bible says, "Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become the children of God---children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God." (John 1:12-13) When I , by faith, welcomed Jesus into my life by asking for forgiveness of my sins then He welcomed me into the family of God. The welcome of a lifetime has given my life purpose and direction. In the world there is much rejection yet God desires to welcome you into His family and His plans. Here at Idlewild we welcome you to come and join us as we seek to be a people with love for all people and welcome for all people.

In Christ,

Keith
